The role supports Product Governance deliverables, managing day-to-day tasks within the framework and processes. It requires expertise in products, combining actuarial knowledge and clear communication to present findings to stakeholders with varied technical backgrounds. The individual should be self-motivated, able to handle multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality output. A strong analytical background, along with experience in report writing and presenting, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct product reviews according to regulatory and internal cycles, following the Product Governance framework.
  • Investigate product queries/issues and provide well-informed recommendations.
  • Support Product Governance in remediation efforts.
  • Coordinate with third parties and outsource providers.
  • Specify, request, and validate data for product reviews and ad-hoc tasks.
  • Recommend changes to products or communications with supporting business cases for relevant committees.
  • Maintain a database of Countrywide Assured product terms and features.
  • Consider customer and shareholder impacts during investigations.
  • Provide Product Governance support to the wider business as needed.
  • Ensure all documentation is audit-ready, adhering to governance and reporting processes.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and expectations in all work produced.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong actuarial technical skills with expertise in Life & Pensions products, systems, and models.
  • Ability to convey complex topics clearly to diverse stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working under strict regulatory and internal deadlines, while maintaining a proactive plan.
  • Skilled in influencing others to align with common goals or vision.
  • Self-motivated with sound judgment to prioritize issues and know when to act independently or seek guidance.
  • Strong investigative, IT, and Excel skills.
