Oliver James Paris has been exclusively mandated on a brand-new role for an international insurance company who are looking to strengthen their Financial Lines and PI Underwriting teams by hiring an experienced Assistant Underwriter. The role will see the successful candidate to support the underwriting teams in the review and processing of new and renewal accounts for Europe and the UK.

Role & Responsibilities
- Execute underwriting processes for Financial Lines and Professional Indemnity portfolios.
- Collaborate closely with senior underwriters to develop and implement effective underwriting strategies that meet international standards.
- Manage relationships with brokers and clients to ensure a high level of service delivery and satisfaction.
- Assess and evaluate risks associated with policy applications to determine feasibility and premium rates.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation and reports on underwriting decisions and portfolio performances.
- Spearhead initiatives to improve underwriting and broking operations within the team.
- Provide assistance to other Assistant Underwriters
- Support global projects
Key Skills
- A good knowledge of underwriting principles and practices, especially in Financial Lines and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
- At least one previous experience in Financial Lines and/or Professional indemnity in an insurance company/brokerage
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage and strengthen client and broker relations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A Strong level of English
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Team-oriented approach with high levels of initiative and responsibility.
