My client is an MNC Insurance company who is currently undergoing large-scale digital transformation.
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong understanding in Insurance Operations and System revamp. This is a project in Underwriting system revamp where you will be working with business stakeholders, IT, and vendors to analyse, document, and improve underwriting processes, ensuring a seamless transition to a modernised system.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with underwriters, product managers, and IT teams to define business requirements for the new underwriting system.
- Process Analysis: Assess current underwriting workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements.
- System Implementation Support: Work with development teams to ensure business needs are accurately translated into technical solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a bridge between business and technology teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Data Mapping & Migration: Assist in defining data migration strategies and ensuring data integrity in the new system.
- Testing & Validation: Develop test cases, support UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and ensure the new system meets business needs.
- Change Management: Provide training and documentation to underwriting teams to facilitate a smooth transition.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Insurance or Financial Services industry
- Strong understanding of underwriting workflows and risk assessment processes
- Experience in system revamps, upgrades, or replacements within an underwriting environment
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin
