We are seeking an experienced CFO to lead the financial strategy and operations for our client's Specialty Insurance division. This role is critical in driving financial performance, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and supporting the division's growth strategy. The CFO will collaborate closely with senior leadership, offering strategic insights and managing financial operations to ensure the division's long-term stability and success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and reporting.
  • Support growth initiatives and business development efforts within the Specialty division.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes, providing insights into financial performance.
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior management, contributing to overall business direction and financial planning.
  • Implement cost management strategies to enhance operational efficiency and control expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain financial transparency.
  • Manage a high-performing finance team, focusing on talent development, succession planning, and workload management.
  • Identify and monitor key financial risks, adjusting strategies to mitigate potential impacts.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and insurance accounting.
  • Proficiency in finance technology and systems architecture.
  • Knowledge of both GAAP and statutory accounting principles, with familiarity in IFRS.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 10+ years in finance or accounting, specifically within the property and casualty insurance sector.
  • Proven experience in people leadership and talent development.
  • Familiarity with reinsurance structures and capital adequacy frameworks.
  • Board governance experience, including board meeting attendance and presentation.
  • CPA, CFA, or CMA designation preferred.
