Our Compliance AML & Sanctions team comprises 35 experts specializing in anti-money laundering, sanctions, and other financial crime risks. We advise senior management on risk management, implement improvements, and follow up on incidents. We monitor the quality of first-line systems and processes and collaborate with other banks and government entities to enhance implementation effectiveness. Our team plays a crucial role in upholding the bank's gatekeeper function and societal responsibility in combating financial crime.
Your job:
As part of the Governance & Oversight team within Compliance AML & Sanctions, you will oversee the first-line execution plan and coordinate milestone validations, monitoring, and testing within Compliance. You will ensure progress and quality of monitoring conducted through the Monitoring Framework under the bank's Groupwide Recovery Plan, executed by approximately 60 Compliance colleagues. Your responsibilities include:
- Standardizing processes, templates, evidence, and deliverables under the Compliance Client Integrity Monitoring plan
- Assessing the quality of monitoring activities and other deliverables
- Ensuring consistency of validation reports, including verifying that monitoring conclusions are accurately represented
- Coaching and supporting Compliance Officers in conducting monitoring activities
- Assisting in executing test work in Compliance Thematic Reviews, as needed
You possess a clear vision of best practices and employ a professional approach to achieve your objectives. Collaboration with colleagues in Business Compliance, Country Compliance teams, and Financial Crime Detection is integral to your role.

Your profile:
We are seeking an individual passionate about combating financial crime, with significant experience in anti-money laundering measures within a financial institution, and knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines. Key qualifications include:
- University-level education
- Over 10 years of experience in preventing money laundering and terrorist financing
- Experience in testing the design and effectiveness of controls within Audit, Compliance, or business roles
- Analytical skills with the ability to distinguish primary from secondary issues
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
- Autonomous, with sound judgment and a sense of ownership
- Awareness of the broader impact of actions or decisions on the bank
