Oliver James have been mandated by their UK Global Financial Services client to support them in finding a Cyber Risk & Security specialist.

This role, a mix of hybrid / remote base, pays up to c£80,000 plus extras / benefits.

Oliver James have been mandated by their UK Global Financial Services client to support them in finding a Cyber Risk & Security specialist.

This role, a mix of hybrid / remote base, pays up to c£80,000 plus extras / benefits.

This role sits with a rapidly growing and market leading cyber reinsurance brokerage who are undergoing significant growth. The business unit is experiencing annual growth of c33% per year and represents a best in class in innovation.

Core focuses include, but aren't limited to:

* Expert Insight - working with colleagues to provide expert insight, translating Cyber Security concepts / events into their implications for internal and external stakeholders;
* Consultancy Services - contribute to the development and delivery of a diverse range of consultancy services to end-clients around the creation of new cyber products and services.
* New Technologies - developing new technological solutions, which enable clients to enhance their understanding of cyber risk
* Thought Leadership - work with others to create market leading thought leadership on relevant Cyber Security concepts and their application to the Cyber Insurance industry.

Core Responsibilities:

* To build effective working relationships within the team and other internal departments;
* To act as a point of contact within the department for specific tasks/processes;
* To be proactive in seeking opportunities to develop own experience and technical skills wherever possible;
* To work with minimal guidance; managing own workload, demonstrating effective prioritisation of tasks and providing regular progress updates against project plan;
* Having 'can do' attitude and the ability to work across different teams in a transversal manner.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

* Knowledge of IT security fundamentals as well as frameworks, such as NIST and ISO27001;
* Capability to translate technical concepts for different internal and external stakeholders;
* Experience working with Financial Services preferred;
* Interest to learn about insurance, reinsurance and analytical fundamentals;
* Personable, enthusiastic, ability to summarise and explain key drivers of complex situations in a clear and concise manner.
