Our client is a renowned law firm globally and they are looking for an APAC Designer to join their Greater China team. This role will be focusing on creating and producing the firm's communications and materials in Mandarin particularly, as well as English.

The Designer will:

  • Design and produce materials in both Chinese and English that align with the firm's brand. This includes pitch decks, client-facing presentations, social media posts (especially on WeChat), holiday cards, client mailings, publications, announcements, advertisements, podcasts, videos, and other Skadden-branded content.
  • Assist in managing the WeChat account.
  • Aid in drafting, proofreading, and editing Chinese language materials.
  • Coordinate and direct photoshoots, and maintain current and archived headshots for our China offices.
  • Assist in creating recruiting materials, invitations, and other collateral for client events, diversity initiatives, alumni engagements, and law student activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of WeChat public accounts and Xiumi (and/or other graphic design applications for WeChat).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver. Experience in HTML coding, video editing, and animation is advantageous.
  • Full command of Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong skills in typography, layout, illustration, infographic design, and animation/visual effects.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in managing print production processes from cost estimation and vendor negotiation to prepress supervision, proof checking, and press checks.
  • Experience in directing/managing photoshoots and basic photo retouching capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capacity to receive direction from senior staff and clients, while also contributing new ideas and perspectives.
  • Adaptability in aesthetic and workflow to meet evolving Firm needs.
  • Excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills.
  • Current knowledge of industry best practices, trends, and techniques.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with diverse clients and vendors.
