Director, Capital + Financial Planning Analysis
Compensation - 125k - 160k + bonus.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled finance professional to lead capital planning, financial forecasting, and scenario analysis in a dynamic, fast-growing life reinsurance company. This role will play a critical part in managing statutory solvency, optimizing capital structures, and supporting the company's aggressive growth through mergers, acquisitions, and organic sales expansion. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in financial planning, capital management, and regulatory compliance, along with experience in integrating newly acquired businesses and developing scalable financial frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capital Planning & Optimization: Lead the development of capital forecasting models, optimizing capital allocation to support both organic growth and M&A activity.
- Financial Forecasting & Scenario Analysis: Oversee financial planning processes, providing insights into short- and long-term earnings, capital implications, and investment strategies.
- M&A Support & Integration: Partner with key stakeholders to assess capital impacts of acquisitions, integrate financial models, and ensure seamless capital deployment across newly acquired entities.
- Regulatory & Rating Agency Compliance: Manage statutory solvency, capital adequacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements, including RBC and BSCR frameworks.
- Investment & Asset Optimization: Work closely with investment and portfolio management teams to structure asset movements for optimal capital efficiency.
- Automation & Process Enhancement: Drive automation and efficiency improvements in forecasting and financial modeling, enhancing speed and accuracy in decision-making.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Present financial results and strategic recommendations to senior executives, while mentoring and developing a high-performing finance team.
Qualifications:
- Industry Expertise: Strong background in capital management, financial planning, and reinsurance financial structures, ideally within life insurance or reinsurance.
- M&A & Growth Experience: Direct experience supporting M&A transactions, integrating acquired businesses, and scaling financial frameworks in a rapidly growing organization.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in statutory and regulatory capital frameworks (e.g., RBC, BSCR), financial modeling, and scenario analysis.
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to work closely with executives and cross-functional teams to drive capital and financial initiatives that support aggressive growth.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, optimize capital structures, and develop actionable insights.
- Team Management: Proven leadership in mentoring and developing finance professionals, ensuring execution of key deliverables.
