Role & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be the Executive Director of the WorkdayFinancials system division and will work extensively with other divisions. Responsibilities will include:
- Oversee and support a team of two direct reports, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management.
- Act as a hands-on contributor in system configurations, ensuring alignment with accounting needs and organizational objectives.
- Identify and drive opportunities for innovation, leveraging Workday to enhance efficiency and improve financial processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with forward-thinking business strategies.
- Stay ahead of emerging Workday functionalities and industry best practices to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Key Skills
Candidates will need to demonstrate a robust knowledge base and skill set including:
- Deep hands-on expertise in Workday Financials, including system implementation, configuration, and customizations.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, technical accounting, and financial reporting principles.
- Proven ability to act as a hands-on contributor, directly performing configurations and resolving system issues.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to design and execute forward-thinking solutions to enhance platform functionality.
- Leadership experience managing and mentoring a small team, while staying directly involved in day-to-day system activities.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and accounting teams, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment.
- Familiarity with financial services or insurance industry practices is preferred.
