Role: Manager - Life Actuarial Consulting

A leading global consultancy is seeking experienced and high-performing actuaries to join its award-winning Life Actuarial team. The role offers the opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of clients-including life insurers, reinsurers, asset managers, and start-ups-on a diverse range of projects, from regulatory change and M&A to transformation, technology, and investment strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the delivery of key client projects across traditional and emerging actuarial areas.
Lead on operational metrics including resourcing, budgeting, scoping, and delivery.
Guide and coach junior team members while contributing to a strong team culture.
Provide insights and commercial solutions tailored to client needs.
Drive innovation and contribute to the development of tools, methodologies, and internal capabilities.
Collaborate across disciplines and geographies to deliver multi-functional engagements.
Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to grow accounts and service offerings.
Experience Required:
Fellowship of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA), or equivalent recognised qualification.
Proven success in the life insurance industry, either in-house or through a top-tier consultancy.
Technical expertise across a broad range of actuarial disciplines such as:
Reporting and audit support
M&A due diligence (buy- and sell-side)
Capital and regulatory change
Part VII transfers and expert witness work
IFRS17 and actuarial transformation
Data analytics, automation, and AI
Investment strategy support for insurers
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
