My client, a top Private Equity firm, is looking to hire a Fund Controller to join their team due to growth and recent fund launches. This role would report directly to the CFO and offers extremely comptitive compensation and benefits
Responsibilities:
- Lead and shape fund accounting processes within new fund launch.
- Manage day-to-day operations of investment funds, ensuring accuracy with all transitions and calculations
- Be the main point of contact with third-party administrators and investors, answering questions and ensuring communication on activities.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements and coordinating with auditors as necessary.
- Lead and expand internal team of fund accountants and mentor internal employees
- Implement, improve, and automate processes internally
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in fund accounting or financial reporting within the private equity or private credit industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong management skills is necessary
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices.
