We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Enterprise Architect and Infrastructure Manager to join our financial services client's team. This hybrid role combines strategic architecture planning with the operational management of IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will drive the design and implementation of scalable enterprise systems while overseeing infrastructure projects that support business goals. This position requires a strong understanding of IT architecture, infrastructure management, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Architecture:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide IT architecture strategies that align with business goals.
- Define and maintain architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices for the organization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and integrate them into the enterprise architecture where appropriate.
- Work closely with business leaders and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Oversee the architecture lifecycle, ensuring that all solutions are aligned with the company's overall business strategy.
Infrastructure Management:
- Manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud-based systems.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of infrastructure services.
- Optimize infrastructure for cost-effectiveness, security, scalability, and high availability.
- Oversee capacity planning and system performance monitoring to meet current and future business needs.
- Lead efforts in infrastructure automation, using modern DevOps and cloud-native tools.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead cross-functional teams of IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and cloud architects, to deliver projects and services.
- Mentor and guide junior staff members, providing technical leadership and career development support.
- Collaborate with other IT and business teams to drive continuous improvement in infrastructure processes, methodologies, and technologies.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure all enterprise architecture and infrastructure designs adhere to security best practices and regulatory compliance standards.
- Work closely with the cybersecurity team to identify risks and mitigate vulnerabilities within the IT infrastructure.
- Implement proactive monitoring and incident response strategies to ensure security threats are identified and addressed promptly.
Project Management:
- Manage infrastructure and architecture projects from planning through execution, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting all defined requirements.
- Maintain a comprehensive view of project timelines, resources, and budgets, and ensure regular communication with stakeholders regarding progress and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in enterprise architecture and IT infrastructure management.
- Proven experience designing and managing large-scale, complex IT infrastructures (on-premise and cloud).
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, LeanIX).
- Expertise in cloud platforms and hybrid cloud architecture.
- Solid knowledge of network design, storage solutions, security, and disaster recovery principles.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools, DevOps methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
