Manager, Reinsurance Accounting
Client:
Our client, a reputable company in the Insurance industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to fill the role of Manager, Reinsurance Accounting within their Finance department.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the reinsurance activities within the organization
- Develop and maintain relationships with reinsurance companies
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of reinsurance transactions
- Monitor and analyze data related to reinsurance contracts and claims
- Evaluate and mitigate potential risks associated with reinsurance
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Prepare and present reports on reinsurance activities to senior management
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Reinsurance Accountant or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of reinsurance contracts (more specifically XOL & Quota Share)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in relevant financial software and Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are highly desirable
