Title: Product Owner - Capital Markets
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week)
Type: FTE, Direct Hire
Base Salary Range: $120,000-160,000k
Our leading Fintech client is seeking a talented Product Owner. In this role, you will work closely with Product Managers, Engineering & Business Partners, and end-users to gather and transform business requirements into detailed specifications relating to the development of products associated with Capital Markets/Securities Processing/Reference Data/Trade Life Cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with business and technology stakeholders to translate their ideas into development user stories, ensuring clear and actionable requirements.
- Assist department managers or directors in developing and refining processes and standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with users and stakeholders, particularly on the Insurance side of the house, to thoroughly understand their workflows and requirements.
- Draft epics and present them to stakeholders, create test plans, and work with Engineering Directors/Managers to ensure timely delivery.
- Write user stories, collaborate with sprint teams to refine these stories, and maintain a refined backlog.
- Assist in writing acceptance criteria and test cases, ensuring high-quality standards and comprehensive test coverage.
- Actively participate in Scrum events, providing clarity on requirements and priorities to the teams.
Skills Needed:
- 5+ years in a Business/Systems Analysis or a Product Owner capacity.
- Deep knowledge of the Financial Services sector, ideally within any of the following: Capital Markets, Trade Life Cycle, Securities Processing, Settlements/Clearing, Reference Data
- Strong understanding and passion for Agile methodologies, product management, and incremental delivery.
- Proficient in writing user stories that focus on business value
- Experience interfacing with business stakeholders and a deep understanding of business processes and user workflows.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to build relationships and drive initiatives forward.
