Our client, a leading insurance provider, is seeking a Data Governance Project Manager to drive the execution of data governance projects and initiatives across the organisation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, compliance requirements, and data strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full project lifecycle for data management initiatives, ensuring compliance with project parameters, deadlines, budget, and quality benchmarks.
- Support the creation and refinement of data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Support change management initiatives to drive the adoption of data governance practices and tools, including user training and communication plans.
- Coordinate the deployment of data governance tools, including data catalogiContinueng platforms, MDM solutions, and self-service analytics tools.
- Ensure technical solutions align with data governance requirements and user needs.
- Act as the main point of contact for all inquiries and initiatives related to data governance, ensuring clear communication across all levels of the organization.
- Monitor project progress meticulously, ensuring that milestones are achieved and objectives are met within established timelines.
- Provide regular updates to senior management regarding project status, including any challenges faced and strategies for resolution.
- Launch and lead initiatives to promote the significance of data governance throughout the organization, fostering a culture of accountability.
- Establish and enforce robust data quality standards to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across all platforms.
- Work closely with IT, compliance, and business units to define roles and responsibilities related to data governance, facilitating effective teamwork.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of proven expertise in project management, with a specific focus on data management, operations, and governance.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data lifecycle management, and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to manage projects effectively, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
- Experience in executing data governance projects is a PLUS
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate data quality and governance practices critically.
