Position Overview:
As a QA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications. You will work closely with the development team to create and execute detailed test plans, report issues, and ensure that all releases meet the highest standards. This role is fully onsite, providing you with an opportunity to collaborate directly with cross-functional teams and make an immediate impact on our product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain test plans and test cases for various software applications.
  • Execute functional, regression, and performance tests to ensure product quality.
  • Work closely with development and product teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software.
  • Track and manage defects using Jira, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Use TestRail to document test cases, plan test cycles, and track results.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of test procedures and results.
  • Continuously improve the QA process and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance testing, ideally within an agile environment.
  • Proficiency in using Jira for bug tracking and project management.
  • Experience with TestRail for test case management and execution.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Solid experience in creating and executing detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in automated testing tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry or financial services is advantageous.
