Scrum Master / Project Manager - Insurance

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master / Project Manager to lead a Finance Transformation project for a leading insurance company. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, and external partners to deliver complex transformation initiatives that align with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile Teams: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, promote collaboration, and ensure adherence to Agile principles.
  • Project Management: Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies while delivering objectives on time and within budget.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for senior executives and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Finance Transformation Delivery: Drive initiatives that enhance financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, coaching teams on Agile best practices and identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Insurance Industry Focus: Leverage your industry expertise to address unique business challenges and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Big 4 Consulting Background: Proven experience with one of the Big 4 firms (e.g., Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG).
  • Agile Expertise: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe, or equivalent certification, with hands-on experience leading Agile teams on large-scale projects.
  • Insurance Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the insurance domain, including regulatory frameworks, processes, and systems.
  • Finance Transformation Experience: Extensive experience managing finance-focused projects, including system implementations and process improvements.
  • Project Management Skills: Expertise in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects using both Agile and traditional methodologies.
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and drive change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Experience with cloud-based finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies.
