What You'll Do:
Network Architecture & Implementation:
- Design, deploy, and manage comprehensive network systems, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Ensure seamless network performance, reliability, and scalability to meet evolving business demands.
- Utilize advanced monitoring and diagnostic tools to maintain optimal network health.
Security Strategy & Enforcement:
- Develop and enforce robust security protocols and procedures to protect critical infrastructure.
- Manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies to safeguard against emerging threats.
- Perform regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.
Virtualization Management:
- Oversee and maintain virtualized environments using industry-leading platforms like VMware and Proxmox.
- Enhance virtualization strategies to maximize resource efficiency and ensure high system availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within virtualized systems to maintain operational integrity.
Load Balancing Optimization:
- Implement and manage load balancers to ensure efficient distribution of network traffic.
- Configure load balancing solutions for high availability and peak performance.
- Continuously monitor and adjust load balancer settings to meet changing demands.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Swiftly diagnose and resolve network, security, and virtualization challenges.
- Provide expert support during network incidents and infrastructure changes.
- Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues and enhance system reliability.
Compliance & Best Practices:
- Ensure all network systems comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Stay informed on the latest trends in security and technology to keep our infrastructure ahead of the curve.
- Implement best practices for network, security, and virtualization management.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network setups, security policies, and incident reports.
- Generate insightful reports on network performance, security events, and compliance.
- Contribute to capacity planning and the strategic development of future infrastructure.
Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align IT initiatives with business goals.
- Share your expertise with junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Report directly to the Infrastructure Team Leader and collaborate on key projects.
What We're Looking For:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- First hands-on experience in network and security engineering.
- Proven expertise in designing and managing complex network environments.
- Strong background in network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Extensive experience with virtualization platforms like VMware and Proxmox.
- Proficiency in load balancing solutions, particularly HAProxy.
Skills & Certifications:
- Deep understanding of network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Advanced knowledge of security principles and best practices.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Wireshark, Zabbix).
- Scripting skills for automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) are a plus.
- Linux/Windows expertise is an advantage.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, CEH, VCP, or CompTIA Security+ are highly valued.
