Senior GAAP Accountant - P&C Insurance

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including quarterly and annual filings
• Partner with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders to support financial reviews
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and evolving regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, actuarial, and risk management
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting function

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA designation strongly preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably within the insurance industry or public accounting
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with experience in statutory accounting a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
