Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and managing daily operations for accounts payable and receivable.
- Preparing accurate financial statements and reports on both a regular schedule and as needed.
- Performing detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Maintaining and executing journal entries and other essential accounting records.
- Applying a strong understanding of insurance accounting practices, such as premium earning and loss recognition.
- Supporting reinsurance accounting and related financial tasks (experience in this area is a plus).
- Collaborating with internal audit teams to ensure adherence to financial policies and regulations.
- Contributing to the establishment of financial standards and participating in forecasting processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of insurance and reinsurance accounting.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- High degree of autonomy and the ability to thrive in fast paced environments.
- NetSuite experience a plus.
- CPA preferred.
