Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Private Equity Fund Accountant to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in fund accounting within the private equity sector. The Private Equity Fund Accountant will play a crucial role in managing fund accounting responsibilities, reporting directly to the Director and working collaboratively with a team of 5 professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Recording investment transactions
- Reconciling cash and investment positions
- Calculating management fees, carried interest, and waterfall distributions in accordance with fund agreements
- Ensuring accurate calculation and reporting of Net Asset Values (NAVs) for each fund
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and investor reports
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of fund-related transactions and adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with other team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Work closely with the Director to address any accounting issues or discrepancies and provide support for ad hoc projects as needed
- Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and external service providers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 2-4 years of Fund Accounting experience in Private Equity
- Experience with fund accounting software Investran or Allvue
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
