Senior Regulatory Reporting Specialist

The Hague | €75k - €100k annual salary on 40-hour workweek

Are you ready to help a leading financial institution with its ambitious growth plans and make a significant contribution to complying with current and future regulations? If so, this role might be for you!

What Are You Going to Do?

In the Regulatory Reporting department, we are jointly responsible for:

  • Correct and timely compliance with the (new) reporting requirements of the supervisory authority (ECB/DNB)
  • Efficient and effective reporting processes where quality and timeliness are central
  • Good internal control of the administrative and reporting processes
  • Implementing changes in the Regulatory Reporting processes

Your work as a Senior Regulatory Reporting Specialist can be divided into three focus areas:

  1. Team Guidance and Improvement:
    • Assist, guide, and coach the team with your knowledge and skills, proactively assessing and implementing improvements in the work processes.
    • Maintain a good overview and insight into departmental activities and collaborate closely with the department manager.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Play a crucial role as a stakeholder in projects within the bank. Provide input to major projects impacting Regulatory Reporting with your knowledge and skills.
  3. Reporting:
    • Handle all reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual), focusing on more complex reports.
    • Execute, assess, and improve the reporting process.
    • Perform data analysis and draw conclusions between reports.
    • Proactively resolve and report discrepancies.
    • Maintain contacts with internal and external stakeholders to discuss report-related issues.

An impactful change is underway, switching to reporting with granular data. This Bank-wide program aims to implement effective and efficient processes, systems, and data to meet current and future reporting requirements of the supervisor, including the implementation of OSX for Regulatory Reporting. The program is in the User Acceptance Test (UAT) phase and other development phases. As a Regulatory Reporting Specialist, you will work with the Regulatory Reporting team and the project team to gain knowledge of the application and future processes, helping to complete the UAT phase and go live.

Additional Activities

  • Participate in projects to implement new products in the reporting process.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and provide support on financial issues from management or other departments.

What You Offer

You bring positive energy, inspiring and motivating others to perform their best. You are critical of existing processes and creative in proposing improvements. You have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the banking sector, particularly in accounting and/or DNB/ECB reporting. Additionally, you have:

  • Affinity with financial products and knowledge of complex financial instruments (securities)
  • A well-developed critical and analytical attitude, accustomed to working in an agile environment
  • Proficiency in Dutch
  • Affinity with PowerBI or BI tooling

Collaboration

You will join a team of four professionals focused on change and regulatory reporting. You will work closely with ongoing major projects, the bank's regulatory monitor, and the Risk department. Complex issues, such as new implementations or migrations, are regularly discussed. We share knowledge and keep each other updated on current affairs.

Each morning, the team starts with a Daily meeting to discuss planning and details. Our chat is open all day for sharing information and seeking help or discussing development wishes. Despite remote working (with two days in the office), we have frequent contact moments. We learn from each other and regularly reflect on team dynamics to improve collaboration.
