Senior Scrum Master

Are you ready to take the next big step in your career? Our client, a prominent leader in the Service industry, is seeking a highly professional Senior Scrum Master to join their Change Management department on a contract basis.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and support all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Assist teams in defining clear and concise product backlogs, sprint goals, and end-of-sprint outcomes.
  • Monitor the Sprint Burndown Charts and facilitate re-planning or grooming as necessary to meet sprint objectives.
  • Advocate for effective Agile practices and help teams to continuously improve their processes.
  • Address and remove any impediments that obstruct the team's pursuit of its sprint goals.
  • Provide coaching on Agile roles, responsibilities, and rules including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Improve transparency within the team and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the product owners and other stakeholders to ensure team alignment with organisational goals and key performance indicators.

Key Skills Required

  • In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles, particularly Scrum.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively with an orientation on results.
  • Possesses conflict resolution, does not let conflicts grow but seeks to find resolution swiftly.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and motivational skills.
  • Prior experience in a scrum master role for at least five years is highly desirable.
