Position Highlights: As the Vice President of Construction Underwriting, you'll be at the forefront of our success story. Your responsibilities will span technical underwriting, strategic account management, and market-shaping sales endeavors.

Responsibilities:

Technical Wizardry:

  • Dive into new and renewal account details to evaluate risks comprehensively.
  • Identify potential exposures and hazards, tailoring coverage to individual risk characteristics.
  • Sculpt loss-sensitive programs that safeguard against a range of risks, from frequency to catastrophic events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to craft data-driven underwriting decisions.
  • Present polished proposals to producers and potential insured parties.

Account Maestro:

  • Lead the charge on post-binding activities, including policy production and compliance.
  • Rally internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service delivery.
  • Own the renewal process, achieving targeted retention and price change goals.
  • Conduct mid-term account reviews to keep things on track.

Sales Champion:

  • Foster and nurture relationships with producers and insured individuals, propelling our productivity and profitability.
  • Unearth customer needs through strategic meetings, showcasing your financial acumen.

  • You possess in-depth understanding of Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile coverage forms and endorsements, adeptly adapting them to program designs.
  • Mastery of loss-sensitive programs, from pricing to retention, sets you apart.
  • You're skilled in exposure identification and analysis, with a cross-functional grasp of claims, risk control, finance, and legal matters.
  • Regulatory compliance is second nature to you, as is familiarity with our product offerings.
  • Your communication skills shine in written, verbal, and presentation contexts.
  • Negotiation and sales prowess are your secret weapons.
  • Leadership comes naturally to you, and you thrive in collaborative environments.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint are your playground.

  • Your network spans established retail broker relationships in the Central Region.
  • A bachelor's degree is your foundation, and additional designations like CPCU enhance your profile.
