Job Title: Assistant Fund Controller

About the Company:
Partnered with a rapidly growing private credit firm focused on launching new funds and expanding our portfolio through strategic fundraising efforts. With a commitment to excellence and growth, the firm is now seeking an experienced Assistant Fund Controller to join their team. This role reports directly to the CFO and Controller and will play a key role in overseeing the financial reporting and operations for private credit funds.

Role Summary:
As the Assistant Fund Controller, you will oversee financial reporting and operations, including key functions such as capital calls, distribution waterfalls, and management fee calculations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the firm's growth and expansion while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for private credit funds, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee capital call processes, distribution waterfalls, and management fee calculations.
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and Controller on fund operations, including new fund launches and fundraising initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards.
  • Assist in developing processes and controls to support the scaling of operations and financial reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience in fund administration or asset management, preferably in private credit or private debt
  • Proficiency with Allvue, Investran, or similar fund accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting in an investment management or private credit environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
