As part of the Business Transformation Plan and especially its energy and cost optimization pillar, you will be responsible for the performance of energy contracts and for following energy projects with assistance from the technical department for Italy.
The energy scope is a strategic project for the group with an ongoing transformation to integrate ambitious plans to reduce consumption and decarbonation.
Responsibilities include leading tender processes, formulating energy costs, and managing the implementation of energy contracts within group's scope. The Energy Manager also independently manages all energy service contracts, considering factors like demand/response. As a local energy purchasing expert, the Energy Manager is tasked with developing a comprehensive view that integrates group's energy transformation, with a focus on the specific context of Italy, including market trends, legislation, and business changes.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Energy diagnosis
- Proactive control and management of consumption in line with the company's greening policies
- Management of energy accounting and consequent evaluation of the savings obtained
- Negotiation with suppliers Knowledge of utilities purchasing procedures on the reference markets
- Technical-economic and feasibility analysis of the interventions as well as risk assessment
- Management and control of energy systems through the optimization of plants
- Integrated energy reporting according to ISO 50001
- Document management (technical and administrative) relating to the projects and activities of competence
- Implementation of awareness raising and promotion programs for the efficient use of energy (eg electro-mobility and sustainable mobility)
- Influence stakeholders to govern improvements.
- Knowledge of new energy sources (renewable, photovoltaic, etc.)
- Implement both energy regulation knowledge and data to ensure compliant ownership.
- Interpret the data results into presentable and in-depth information that will improve the portfolio's environmental and real estate performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's level, Energy Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of energy purchasing
- Knowledge of energy contracts and the optimization of the different components
- (EGE) Expert in Energy Management UNI CEI 11339 (it will be preferential title)
- Experience in coordinating energy optimization projects, in companies with EN 50001 certification / experience in auditing according to EN 50001
- Experience in sustainability projects and alternative sources
- Culture of performance, knowledge of energy markets and decarbonation subjects
- Analysis and synthesis skills
- Cross-functional adaptability
- Fluent English
