My client, a top Private Equity Asset Manager is looking for a Investment Operations Associate to join their expanding team to handle portfolio development. Our client works on a hybrid basis in downtown Chicago, offers competitive compensation, comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate trade settlements, monitor and reconcile portfolio activities like cash, transfers, and transactions.
  • Identify and fix any issues or discrepancies quickly.
  • Share cash and investment data with teams and stakeholders.
  • Manage the setup and off boarding of accounts, coordinate transfers, and ensure all necessary documentation is in place.
  • Respond to client and investment manager questions and collaborate with the team to improve processes.
  • Suggest and implement ways to improve efficiency and automate tasks.
  • Responsible for reconciling and approving CLO Monthly Trustee Reports and Quarterly payment waterfalls
  • Managing the launching and closing of CLO Warehouses

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or similar field.
  • At least 1 - 8 years in asset management operations, especially in emerging market debt and non-U.S. markets.
  • Understanding of fixed income instruments, trade settlements, and tools like Bloomberg, DTCC, or BlackRock Aladdin.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to resolve issues and present financial data clearly.
  • Progress toward industry certifications like CFA or CPA
