We're seeking a Senior Manager/early Director-level professional with Big Four or financial services experience to lead two highly skilled reporting teams (16FTE) and take charge of external reporting processes at a leading financial institution.
About the Role
You'll head two technically driven teams: Investment Reporting and External & Regulatory Reporting, each comprising enthusiastic and talented professionals, including international experts. You'll play a pivotal role in managing complex reporting processes, stakeholder relationships, strategic projects, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and Solvency II standards. Your focus will include fostering team development, driving process improvements, and collaborating with senior management and external auditors.Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting Leadership: Oversee quarterly and annual reporting processes, ensuring quality and efficiency while navigating complex dependencies.
- Team Development: Build and grow a high-performing team through coaching, long-term planning, and performance management.
- Strategic Advisor: Be a trusted advisor to senior management, the go-to contact for external auditors, and the first deputy to the Director of Accounting & Reporting.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process enhancements and maintain a strategic view while diving into technical details when necessary.
What You Bring:
- Experience: At least 10 years in Reporting, Accounting, or Audit, ideally from a Big Four background or financial services.
- Qualifications: RA certification and a Master's in Accounting, Audit, Economics, or Finance.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop sizable analytical teams.
- Expertise: In-depth knowledge of IFRS, Solvency II, and stakeholder management.
- Communication: Exceptional skills in English (Dutch is a plus) to engage across functions and levels, fostering collaboration and effective dialogue.
- Mindset: Goal-oriented, proactive, and adept at maintaining composure under pressure.
