Join an innovative team, where technical prowess and forward-thinking drive their network operations across North Carolina. As a Network Engineer, you will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining our networking infrastructure that supports both client and internal operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) that meet organizational and customer needs.
  • Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices to create scalable, reliable networks.
  • Document product usage and maintain meticulous records to keep the Supply Chain Manager informed of materials and resources utilized.
  • Monitor network performance to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Resolve escalated issues from technical support teams and maintain network integrity and security.
  • Conduct network modelling and analysis to construct a reliable, high-performance integrated network.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team and across departments to achieve optimal results.
Additional Duties And Responsibilities
  • Work cohesively in a team setting and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Provide pre and post-sales technical support, enhancing customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to network operations and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to training and development, stay current with technological advancements, and engage in continuous learning through IT publications and online materials.
  • Enter all work activities as service or project tickets in ConnectWise and ensure meticulous documentation and tracking.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

  • Strong interpersonal skills including telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer-care.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Capable of multitasking and adapting quickly to changing environments.
  • Deep understanding of network infrastructure and the ability to align network design with the broader business needs.
Professional Certifications

  • Required: Associate-level certifications from our their key manufacturers (e.g., Aruba ACA, Fortinet FCA) or equivalent certifications from competitors (e.g., Cisco CCNA).
  • Preferred: Professional-level certifications such as Aruba ACP, Aruba Architect, Fortinet FCP, or Cisco CCNP are advantageous for higher-level responsibilities.
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in configuring & troubleshooting data networks with platforms like Fortinet, Aruba, Cisco.
  • 5+ years of total IT experience.

Our client, a renowned leader in the Technology industry, is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Network Engineer to join their progressive Information Technology department. This organization is well-known for its innovative approach to technology solutions and a consistent push towards transforming the digital landscape.





Role and Responsibilities:



  • Design and implement functional network infrastructure.
  • Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Mentor team members on technical issues.
  • Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery).
  • Communicate with users when needed.
  • Maintain complete technical documentation.
  • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.


Key Skills:



  • Proficient in DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and network infrastructure protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Strong understanding of network operating systems such as Cisco, Juniper, or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF).
  • Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
  • Ability to work within a team and mentor IT staff.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure.





Note: Since this is a permanent position, the candidate will be expected to work on-site at our client's office located in the central business district.
