Overview: This role within the Alternatives Finance team serves as a crucial link between private equity portfolio managers and external partners, such as fund administrators, auditors, and tax experts. The primary focus will be on supporting the operational activities of various private equity funds, while also overseeing the work of fund administrators, particularly in the areas of transaction recording and reconciliation. The ideal candidate should possess excellent time management and communication abilities and demonstrate strong critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily oversight of third-party service providers, including those handling Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, Valuation, Tax, and Audit functions.
  • Reviewing and approving quarterly/monthly financial statements, capital account statements, and ad hoc investor reporting prepared by the fund.
  • Review calculations related to management fees and carried interest.
  • Oversee cash reserves, approve capital call and distribution allocations, and issue related notices.
  • Verify the accuracy of investment capital activities and related journal entries.
  • Manage incoming expenses and their respective allocations.
  • Conduct data validation processes between internal and external sources.
  • Assist with SEC filings and regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance, with a preference for CPA certification.
  • 5+ years in Big 4 public accounting or 5+ years within private equity firm
  • Familiarity with software tools like Chronograph, Canoe, Appian, and Tableau is a plus.
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail, and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization and with external partners to drive performance, creativity, and problem-solving.
