What You'll Do:
As a Property Adjuster, you'll play a key role in evaluating and managing property insurance claims. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing Claims Documentation: Analyze photos, estimates, and reports from policyholders, contractors, and field adjusters.
- Assessing Property Damage: Determine the cause of damage and ensure compliance with policy terms.
- Estimating Costs: Work with vendors to estimate repair or replacement costs.
- Processing Claims: Manage claims from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is complete.
- Negotiating Settlements: Collaborate with policyholders, contractors, and vendors to negotiate fair settlements.
- Providing Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for policyholders, resolving claims-related issues and answering questions.
- Maintaining Records: Ensure all communications, decisions, and actions are documented throughout the process.
- Ensuring Compliance: Adhere to company procedures, legal standards, and industry regulations.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor's degree.
- Experience: Previous property claims handling experience required. Commercial property claims (e.g., Condominium Associations or Rentals) is a plus!
- Skills: Strong knowledge of property insurance policies, damage estimation, claims processes, and regulatory standards.
- Attention to Detail: Able to review and analyze claims documentation thoroughly.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using claims management software, Microsoft Office, and related tools.
- Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for handling challenging situations.
