Tax Manager - Finance Department (Asset Management, Insurance & Mergers & Acquisitions)


On behalf of our esteemed client, a leading entity in the Insurance industry, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Tax Manager. This individual will join the company's robust Tax team, taking on pivotal responsibilities relating to tax planning and compliance with a focus on Asset Management, Insurance and Mergers & Acquisitions. This is a permanent position that offers a significant opportunity to harness your professional skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage tax strategies within the realms of Insurance, Asset Management & Investments and company Mergers & Acquisitions.
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.
  • Develop tax planning strategies and analyses for various real estate transactions and acquisitions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of tax laws and updates specific to the insurance industry.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance departments to streamline tax processes and practices.
  • Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to team members ensuring professional development and efficiency in the tax department.

Key Skills

  • 5 years+ experience
  • Strong expertise in tax compliance and strategy development, specifically in Asset Management, Insurance and Mergers & Acquisitions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of either Asset Management, Insurance sector and the impact of financial regulations on tax posture.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and databases.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record of managing a tax team.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Dedication to maintaining high accuracy in all financial documentation and reporting.
