Our client is a growing investment firm on the verge of an exciting new chapter with the launch of new alternative funds targeting innovative opportunities. Location: Providence, RI

Compensation: 200-250k base salary (depending on experience) + bonus

Position Overview
The VP of Finance will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The role will work closely with the Partners to oversee the financial operations and management of the alternative funds. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless coordination between fund administrators, audit partners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and efficiency in fund operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations of the alternative funds, ensuring compliance with fund agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with fund administrators to manage capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting.
  • Act as the primary liaison with audit partners, ensuring timely and accurate completion of annual audits.
  • Review and approve financial statements, management reports, and performance metrics.
  • Support the Partners in developing and refining financial strategies, processes, and controls for fund management.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts, providing strategic insights to optimize fund performance.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable accounting standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in fund accounting or finance, with a focus on private equity, private credit, or alternative investments.
  • Expertise in fund operations, including capital activity, investor reporting, and audit coordination.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and partners in a fast-paced environment.
