Chief Financial Officer - Life Insurance (Annuities) | NYC-Based

My client, an innovative and newly established life insurer is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their finance, treasury, and accounting functions. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic financial leader to shape the financial future of a forward-thinking organization, drive strategic growth, and play a key role in influencing business direction.

Compensation: Pending on candidate experience. There would be an annual bonus incentive of 30% + long term earning potential.

The Opportunity:

  • Financial Reporting & Accounting: Oversee financial statements, management reports, and forecasts, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.

  • Capital Management: Drive capital allocation strategies, oversee liquidity management, and optimize the company's financial structure.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

  • Investor Relations: Act as a key liaison with investors, building strong partnerships through transparent communication and strategic financial reporting.

  • Growth & M&A Support: Contribute financial expertise to support strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and market expansion initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience, ideally in life insurance industry.

  • Proven expertise in financial reporting, capital management, and regulatory compliance within a life insurance company.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; CPA or MBA preferred.
